I just finished Kaiju No. 8 Season 2. I have to say it was really just as good as season 1. Lots of good action, character development, and more building on the idea of getting stronger and believing in the team
One thing I did think was odd was the filler episode at the beginning. I was waiting to drop right into the action and then boom! We watch the crew follow around and stalk the second in command, lol.
One of the things I love about the show is the main character, Kaiju No. 8, aka Kafka Hibino. Strong but real at the same time, and helps his team and the people around him to the fullest, a 10/10 hero.
I also really do like the other characters, like Kikoru Shinomiya. She is super powerful and only gets stronger as the show goes on. I really want to see her and Kafka fight together again at full power in season 3!
Overall, so far for seasons 1 and 2, I think that this anime is great. It’s kind of rare for me to watch purely action anime like this, but I do love the whole Kaiju sci-fi genre.
I think season 3 will be a BANGER and you should definitely watch both season of this anime to get ready for it, 100% worth it!
