A Kaiju Girl Anime? YUP! This is a short review of “Kaiju Girl Caramelise”, a romance anime with a twist: the MC (Kuroe Akaishi) is a Kaiju! This is another anime I found while browsing the romance section of Crunchyroll and I am glad I gave it a chance!

One of the things I liked most about this anime is that it’s not your regular old romance anime. Coming from someone who is OBSESSED with isekai anime, the twist of having the romance element but also the fact that she is A DAMN KAIJU is really something haha…

One thing about this anime is that it is from the girl’s perspective, which felt a bit off to me since I mostly watch anime with a male MC. So, it was funny watching some scenes where you could see the guy was thinking, and I would start filling in the usual thoughts that you would hear from his perspective.

Also, the anime had a very “normie” feel in a way. Like a more mainstream kinda setup to it. Overall, it was good though; it had some funny moments with a… gorilla lady… yeah, that’s a thing. Also, the random flowers that would pop up when the MC got the feels for the guy were pretty funny as well.

I think this was a comfortable anime. The animation was pretty good as well, but was definitely more tilted towards average and had a few 3D Blender looking scenes at times haha… Definitely recommend giving it a watch if you want a kinda slice-of-life love story with a sci-fi twist!
